In our testing we have discovered that certain internal engine components are very weak when subjected to performance motor upgrades. One of these weak links is the bearing retaining/mounting plate for the primary output drive gear. When this cast aluminum plate fails, (see below) the result is thousands of dollars in damages and a good amount of down-time. We have attributed several motor rebuilds as a result of this failure.

If you have an upgraded engine or even have a performance exhaust, this internal bearing support can help prevent catastrophic failure. This is especially viable for high-output engines. The bearing support is made from 7075 aluminum and beefed up in key areas. This construction is exponentially stronger than the stock cast aluminum piece and will provide serious protection for your motor. We recommend this with every motor kit upgrade.
