The LTR pro peg is on sale due to a design change we are making. There is a bracket on the back that mounts to the subframe. In a few cases this bracket breaks under heavy load (usually big jumps). This bracket serves NO function and we have asked our manufacturer to eliminate it. The nerf bars are completely structurally sound without this mount (none of our other models has it).

Here is our recommendation: Go ahead and install the nerfs with the bracket. If it breaks cut it off at the weld on the nerf tube. Be sure to sand any rough edges. If you have black bars you can tape around the weld and spray the bare aluminum with gloss black paint. If you have silver bars you don't need to spray them with paint. --- Or you can just cut off the bracket before you mount them and be done with it -- a simple fix for a huge savings. Please see the picture for further explanation.
